Meet Our Guides
MATT is a musician, performer, and visual artist based in Memphis, TN. After spending a decade exploring the bayous of Louisiana, Matt moved to Memphis where he began working with Historical Haunts to share stories from the haunted swamplands of the American South. Matt has enjoyed a career in the music scene where he has performed around the city including working at the STAX Museum of American Soul Music. Matt's love of music combined with his interest in the spiritual realm has led him into the world of sound healing where he performs regular sessions at The Broom Closet in downtown Memphis.
Matt's favorite thing about being a tour guide with Historical Haunts is being able to give guests a brief look into the world of the paranormal.

DAMON grew up in North Carolina and retired from the fire service before moving to Memphis. He started in the ghost tour business after traveling around the country and experiencing paranormal events in different cities and small towns. Damon tries to debunk most incidents, however he has seen, heard, and smelled things he cannot explain. He's passionate with Memphis' dark history, in town and on the river. He’s enthusiastic to share these stories and watch the electronic equipment and ghost apps light up as you move through the downtown area.

AMBER (AKA the Maven of Mayhem, Mistress of the Macabre) is a lifelong Memphis native. Her parents nurtured her love for the strange and macabre, which naturally led to a passion for paranormal investigation. In addition to providing tours, Amber is also a professional improv comedian with the Bluff City Liars and tap dancer with the Hot Foot Honeys. In her free time, she enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons, traveling, and acting.
